MARA Liner MyBAS buses run hourly from Sultan Mahmud Airport to Hentian Bas Majlis Bandaraya Kuala Terengganu. The fee ranges from MYR2 to MYR3, and the trip takes less than 10 minutes. There are also public taxis, Grab, Airasia Ride and Maxim, and the fee from the airport to the conference location is roughly MYR40.

The distance by vehicle from Kuala Lumpur to Kuala Terengganu is 435.5 km through the East Coast Highway (LPT). The LPT, which starts from Gombak in Kuala Lumpur, has reduced travel time to Kuala Terengganu. It normally takes four to five hours to drive straight through, or more if you want to break it up and stop more frequently. Along the highway, there are several rest and relaxation (R&R) facilities.

Going by bus to Kuala Terengganu is the ideal alternative if you wish to avoid flying and go overland in a simple, pleasant, and direct journey. Travelling by bus to Kuala Terengganu is simple and inexpensive, with frequent departures available.
Kuala Terengganu is also extremely well connected by bus to the major cities in Peninsular Malaysia, notably its neighbouring city ‒ Singapore. A bus to Kuala Terengganu is available from a number of companies, with the majority of them costing between MYR50 and MYR70.
